The
growth of modern manufacturing industries in the country today is
very much dependent on its machineries. There is necessity for individuals
with compentencies to make, install, maintain and innovate such
machines to meet the ever increasing market demands for improved
quality, volume capacity, production cost and shorter delivery time.
An important and viable option of Semiconductor and Electronics
, Food and Beverages, Automotive, and other export winners and even
Agriculture, is to shift from the traditional to automated machines
in their production processes as their way of meeting such market
demands. However, the absence of qualified technicians posed a big
problem.
Sensing
this said state of our manufacturing industries, a group of machine
makers decided to organize the Original Equipment Manufacturers
Association of the Philippines (OEMAP).
The
Technical
Educational and Skills Development Authoring (TESDA) is
mandated by law to promote the development, efficient allocation
and utilization of the middle level human resources of the country
to accelerate economic and social growth.
